Facilities

Our improved facilities start with a warm and welcoming waiting and reception area that prioritises the comfort of both pets and owners. A dedicated cat waiting area, comfy canine seating and a beautiful, calm and inviting environment for our humans help set the scene for the rest of the hospital. Consultation rooms and wards have been designed specifically to keep our patients calm and comfortable. The cat ward is located in a secluded part of the hospital to avoid noise and potential distress. The dog ward is spacious and relaxed and there is a separate isolation ward for any patients with infectious diseases. The hospital also has a dedicated ICU and recovery area for those patients that are more critical.

The surgical facilities in the new building include custom designed neurosurgery and orthopaedic operating theatres, to allow for advanced procedures to be performed without compromise. There is also a dedicated endoscopy suite and high definition arthroscopic and laparoscopic surgical equipment available in multiple surgery suites. Each surgical space has HEPA filtered positive pressure ventilation that significantly reduces the chance of surgical infections. The surgical suites are all linked to an innovate theatre preparation space which has the latest sterilisation equipment including plasma gas sterilisation. All surgery suites also have the latest in anaesthetic equipment including advanced monitoring equipment and anaesthetic ventilators for every surgical procedure.

Our hospital also incorporates all the facilities required for exceptional care in other disciplines of veterinary medicine. A brand-new Canon Lightning Aquilion CT scanner allows more effective diagnosis of many diseases and is indispensable for pre-surgical planning and accurate post-surgical assessment. Independent x-ray and ultrasound facilities allow multiple patients to undergo imaging at the same time resulting in more efficient and timely diagnostics. A contemporary dental suite with dedicated dental x-ray facilities and a full compliment of dental equipment allows advanced dental procedures to be performed. A separate laboratory, pathology space, chemotherapy suite and physical rehabilitation equipment are just a few of the other features that make this hospital one of the most sophisticated veterinary facilities in Australia.
